Shiomi Watanabe

Based in PRG Asia, Inc.'s Tokyo office, Shiomi Watanabe serves as an interpreter and translator for PRG's English- and Japanese-speaking clients, suppliers, and employees.

Ms. Watanabe began serving as an interpreter and translator while earning her BA degree in English from Sophia University in Tokyo. She has since gained over 20 years of experience providing intepretation and translation services to a wide range of industrial, advertising, and entertainment industry clients.

Within the entertainment industry, Ms. Watanabe has served as an interpreter for lighting designers, sound engineers, and other production personnel on concert tours by Queen, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Roberta Flack, Miles Davis, and many other acts. In the theatre market, she has served as an interpreter for designers, directors, and stagehands in shows produced by Cirque du Soleil, Siegfried & Roy, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. She has also provided interpretation support for touring productions of Fiddler on the Roof and Starlight Express as well as Japanese cast productions of Phantom of the Opera, Crazy for You, Madame Butterfly, Aspects of Love, Beauty and the Beast, and many other Broadway and West End shows.

Ms. Watanabe's thorough understanding of the business and technical aspects of entertainment production allows her to play an instrumental role in the success of each project in which she is involved.
