Tsuyoshi Namiki

Account Executive - PRG Asia Inc.

Based in the Tokyo office of PRG Asia Inc., Tsuyoshi Namiki develops entertainment technology solutions for all types of applications.

After studying lighting and sound design in high school and college, Mr. Namiki joined Pacific Art Center, a stage production company based in Tokyo. During his more than twenty years of employment by that company, Mr. Namiki provided technical support, project management, and lighting design services for a wide range of projects. His experience includes classical theatre productions, Kabuki productions, concert tours, ice shows, trade shows, television productions, and corporate and special events.

In 1989, Pacific Art Center gave Mr. Namiki responsibility for all technical personnel in the opening of the Yokohama Arena, a 15,000-seat performance venue. In that position, Mr. Namiki managed the technical support for many international and domestic productions at the Arena, including Starlight Express, Disney on Ice, and shows by Cirque du Soleil. In 1993, Mr. Namiki joined a Japanese government sponsored cultural delegation to Indonesia to teach lighting design and oversee the construction of a new theatre. In 1994, he introduced several new technologies to Pacific Art Center, including an RGB Unit (full colour fluorescent lamp equipment) and automated lighting systems, and became general manager of the company's Yokohama office. In 1995, he established an international division of the company. As manager of the division, Mr. Namiki oversaw lighting design and management for more than 50 exhibitions and corporate events, including HP World, the Tokyo Business Show, Windows World/Comdex, MacWorld, the Tokyo Motor Show, Amway meetings, and ERINA corporate events. In 2001, Mr. Namiki was named project manager for Shiki Theatrical Company's touring productions, including Phantom of the Opera, Cats, The Lion King, Mamma Mia, and Aida.

In June 2004 Mr. Namiki became a founding member of PRG's Asian subsidiary, PRG Asia Inc.
